Measuring the consumption of water and district heating meters

Measuring the consumption of hot and cold water is regulated by the Safety Authority’s Order No. 1034 of 17 October 2006 with subsequent amendment of Decree No 813 of 28 July 2008.

Measuring the consumption of district heating meters are regulated by Safety Board Order No. 1034 of 17 October 2006 with subsequent amendment of Decree No 815 of 28 July 2008.

This applies to both water meters and district heating meters.:

The Order has different rules for testing equipment that are used in residential, commercial and light industry and measuring equipment that is used elsewhere.

The executive order includes:

  • Equipment Suppliers
  • Consumers
  • Notified Bodies
  • Authorized laboratories
  • Accredited Laboratories

The executive order sets out conditions for approval of meters under the Measuring Instruments Directive (MID).

The water and heating equipment may be approved by the methods B + D B + F or H1 in the executive directive.

The executive order establishes requirements for meters that are not covered by the MID.
The Order sets out conditions for ratification meters.
The Order contains transitional provisions for meters, approved under previous Community or National Regulations.
